Project Week Ireland 7AB

E-Mail Drucken PDF

From 3rd to 9th of May the 7th forms travelled to Ireland. They were accompanied by Prof. Neubauer, Prof. Wastlbauer and Prof. Klausberger.

After our arrival in Dublin, we saw the Emerald Isle’s beautiful landscape for the first time while we went to Galway by coach. When we made our way through the country, we found exactly what we had expected: green meadows surrounded by stone walls, a rather flat landscape and of course many, many sheep. In Galway, a harbour town in the west of the island, we had some English lessons. Irish native speakers practised with us and taught us how to improve our skills. A photo scavenger hunt gave us the opportunity to see famous sights, to discover lovely shopping streets and to enjoy the town’s park. The following day we visited the Cliffs of Moher on the west coast. We were enchanted by the impressive and world-famous scenery. We also went to see a castle and a Celtic monument. At a sheep farm, we learnt how to bake the traditional scones. The last two days of our trip we spent in Dublin. We could enjoy the atmosphere in an Irish pub and discovered the capital’s famous sights. We visited the Trinity College, which is one of the oldest universities in Europe, the National Gallery where we saw masterpieces of art and the Guinness Brewery.

When we got on the plane back to Austria, we took many colourful memories with us.
